Coldgearz - a platform shooter that should be a treat for all old school gamers!

Coldgearz is very special to me.
It was my first quality creation, and was widely distributed and enjoyed.
I still receive mail about it on a regular basis.



Story
This game takes place in the future, - after a major world conflict.
Thankfully earth is now at peace and humans have come together as one.
During the war, though, intelligent robots were invented.
They were used as soldiers.
After the war (a now global) government determined they were too dangerous to keep.
The robots were abandoned on an island called Badicit.
The robots are survivors though.
They have risen up with only one urge, - the urge to kill! 
Somehow they have created a large energy cell to sustain themselves.
They have reinforced a large base in the center of the island.
Growing in numbers these robots have become a deadly force that now threatens man.
Soon, they will be able to leave their island home, and invade human civilization.
You are a member of the DF Unit.
The DF Unit is a team of special troopers, from around the earth, trained to wipe out these robots.
Your job is to annihilate them all.
The government, and your team, refers to the robots as Coldgearz.
They have evolved so much since the war.
They are nothing like the military’s original toys.
What is the only way to achieve Coldgearz destruction?
Infiltrate their base, then destroying the energy cell keeping them alive.
Action begins right when the helicopter containing you team lands.
Continuing through the game will allow you to unlock new parts to the story.



About the DF Unit Members



- From left to right as follows -

Player
A basic DF unit rifleman.

Harris
A DF Unit leader. An older man, in his late 50's, but still very strong.
He uses two handheld submachine guns.

Snipe
A strange, yet intelligent, individual.
Snipe, and sometimes Deadeye, are only nick names.
His real name is Lloyd. Lloyd uses a specialized sniper rifle.
The rifle is designed to work with his fully armored suit and goggles.
Being a quiet man not much else is know about him or his past.

Butch
Butch is a large, powerful, demolitionist expert.
He keeps his trademark black glasses on at all times.
Butch is an expert with explosives and heavy weaponry.

Jack
Jack is a young arrogant fellow.
He uses a normal DF Unit shotgun and enjoys combat.
He often gets jealous when others get to be in combat while he is left out.
Jack likes to openly make rude remarks at how he could do your job better.

Ruby
Ruby is a medic. She carries a state of the art revolver though.
Your character and Ruby seem much attached.
